This is a large bodied (16 1/8" lower bout)slope-shouldered guitar that is influenced by the Gibson 1935 Advanced Jumbo model. Back and sides are Plum Pudding/Birds Eye Hawiian Koa,( the only set I've ever seen); Master grade Carpathian spruce top with a tobacco burst color scheme; and fretboard, binding, and headstock of Brazilian rosewood. Purfling and 5 piece neck laminates are made of Yellowheart and rosewood. The back of the headstock is laminated with the same Koa as the back and sides. Waverly gold tuners and a mother of pearl Bear logo complete the headstock. Abalone slotted diamonds adorn the fretboard. Scale length is 25.5" which makes it a great flatpicking guitar and lets it accomadate dropped tunings as well as other styles of playing. It comes with a TKL black, hardshell case. This guitar is priced at $4250.
This is a dreadnaught style guitar that is true to the 1930's Martin D-28. With a big box of old, straight grained Brazilian Rosewood and top of Italian Alpine Spruce, it is the flatpickers dream. The binding is Cocobolo with Abalalone accents and Herringbone top purfling. Scale length is 25.4" with ebony fretboard and bridge. Tuners are Waverly's special version of the nickel, 1930s knob shape that were used on D-28 Martins. Mother of Pearl Bear logo inlay at the 12th fret. The Apline Spruce top has scalloped, forward shifted pre-war style Adirondack spruce bracing that helps to deliver strong fundamentals along with plenty of volume. This is a great guitar for, not only flatpicking, but any style of playing. Priced at $5,850, including a customized Cedar Creek hardshell case.
This is a dreadnaught shaped guitar with OM sized dimensions. It turns out to be a smaller Dreadnaught style guitar with more emphasis on tone than on a boomy bass. An excellant choice for fingerstylist as well as flatpickers. This guitar has Figured Cocobolo Rosewood back and sides with an AAA Adirondack Spruce top and scalloped bracing. Gold Waverly tuners are used on the book matched Cocobolo headstock, which has the Mother of Pearl Bear logo inlaid at the top. This is a small, "parlor" style guitar based on a turn of the century Washburn model. With salvaged Brazilian Rosewood back and sides, an AAA Adirondack top, and slotted Brazilian Rosewood headstock with Gold Waverly tuners, it has a surprisingly loud and focused sound. There is more bass than is normally associated with the small parlor size. The scale is 24.9" with an ebony fretboard and 12 frets to the body. The pyramidal bridge is made of brazilian rosewood. The width at the nut is 1 3/4" with a string width at the saddle of 2 3/16" With it's large sound and strong fundamentals, this makes an excellent guitar for fingerpicking in an intimate setting as well as on stage. Priced at $4850 with a black hardshell case.
